Police investigating the deaths of an elderly couple in an Alton house fire have arrested a fourth person. A 32-year-old man from Aldershot was detained on suspicion of murder and arson.
Stan Rickman, 91, and Roma Rickman, 88, died when fire broke out at their home in Heron Close, Alton, on Monday 14 April. Emergency services were called to the scene at 4am, but both victims were pronounced dead despite efforts from firefighters and police.
The man arrested has been released on bail with conditions until 18 September whilst the investigation continues.
Three teenagers previously arrested in connection with the deaths remain on conditional bail. They include a 15-year-old from Bordon, a 15-year-old from Alton, and a 16-year-old from Alton, all detained on suspicion of murder.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal fire continues.
