Two men have been arrested on suspicion of Class A drug offences in Basingstoke after police officers spotted suspicious behaviour linked to a car and subsequently discovered suspected drugs during searches on Sunday 29th June.
Police officers were conducting routine patrols when they observed suspicious activity involving a Peugeot vehicle that had entered Titchbourne Close at approximately 12.30pm on Sunday.
The vehicle’s driver got out and tried to escape the scene by climbing over a fence.
Officers subsequently traced and apprehended the driver on Hounsome Drive a short time later. Upon searching the car, police discovered and confiscated two sets of number plates.
A search also uncovered suspected Class A drugs.

A 41-year-old Basingstoke man was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of a Class A controlled substance.
Police then visited a property on Maize Lane where they found additional suspected Class A drugs.
A 42-year-old Basingstoke man was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of a Class A controlled substance.
Both suspects have been released on conditional bail whilst enquiries continue.
