Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Basingstoke where a man had liquid thrown in his face. The incident occurred on 27 November between 12:10pm and 12:15pm on a footpath near Parcel Drive.
Detectives investigating the Basingstoke assault appeal are seeking information from dog walkers who may have been in the wooded area at the time. The victim, aged in his 40s, sustained minor facial injuries after an unknown liquid substance was thrown at him whilst walking alone.
Officers wish to speak with a man described as approximately 5ft 9ins tall, wearing a black beanie hat, dark hooded top, dark snood, black or blue tracksuit bottoms, and white or grey trainers.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary are particularly keen to hear from dog walkers present in the vicinity. Anyone who witnessed the incident or recalls seeing someone matching the description is urged to come forward.
Authorities are also requesting any footage, including mobile phone recordings or dashcam footage, that may assist the investigation.
