A 39-year-old Portsmouth man has been charged with multiple offences following a stabbing incident on Tangier Road on Friday afternoon, which left two men injured.
Police were called to Tangier Road at 3.35pm on Friday 7 November following reports of a stabbing. Two men, aged 39 and 46, sustained injuries to their faces and heads during the incident.
James Wallis, 39, of Milton Road, Portsmouth, has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
Wallis was remanded in custody and appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today (Monday 10 November).
A 44-year-old woman from Portsmouth arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on conditional bail until 7 February whilst enquiries continue.

A 46-year-old Portsmouth man arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place has been released with no further action taken.
