Andover fail to stop CCTV images released by police

Hampshire Police have released CCTV images following a fail to stop incident in Andover on Saturday 6 December, appealing for witnesses to identify the orange motorbike rider who evaded officers.

The incident occurred between 1:40pm and 1:50pm when an orange motorbike travelled along Charlton Road, Manor Road and Old Down Road without stopping for police officers.

Officers observed the rider exceeding speed limits and performing dangerous overtaking manoeuvres. The motorbike collided with a parked vehicle during the pursuit before the rider continued without stopping.

The rider was last spotted travelling across grass onto a footbridge towards Stubbs Court.

PC Robert Penn from Andover’s District Policing Team said: “We are working hard to catch up and deal with the rider in question and would urge anyone with any information about the bike or its rider to please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity.

“To members of the community in Andover, I’d like to reassure you all that we are continuing to work tirelessly to tackle and disrupt anti-social behaviour in our area, including nuisance vehicle use.

“Your information is vital to us, so please continue report incidents and share information with us.”

Anyone with information should contact Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary on 101 or report online quoting incident number 44250550047. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
