Aldershot woman charged with burglary and attempted robbery

A 45-year-old woman has been charged with burglary and attempted robbery following a series of incidents in Aldershot. Julie Walls of Seale faces multiple charges including theft and possession of a sharp article, and is due to appear in court.

The charges follow reports made to police regarding several separate incidents across the town. On 20 July, officers received notification that a pouch containing £1,000 had been taken from a residence on Wilson Road, Aldershot.

Additionally, police were contacted about two separate attempted robbery incidents at Westgate Retail Park on 16 July. Reports indicated that attempts were made to steal both a vehicle and car keys during these incidents.

On the same date, officers also received information that a woman had entered Morrison’s petrol station whilst in possession of a pair of scissors.

Following these reports, police initiated an investigation which resulted in an arrest being made. Julie Walls, aged 45, from Hogs Back, Seale, has subsequently been charged with the following offences:

  • Burglary dwelling and theft
  • Attempt robbery (two counts)
  • Possess knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place

Walls is scheduled to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (23 July).
