An extensive police investigation led to Cribb, of Green Crescent in Gosport, being charged with five offences committed between April 2021 and May 2022.

The charges against Cribb included:

  • Engaging in digital penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15

A jury at Portsmouth Crown Court unanimously found Cribb guilty on Friday 5 September. He appeared for sentencing at Portsmouth Crown Court with case number 44PC0263623 on Thursday 20 November, where he received a 15-year custodial term with a five-year extended licence period.

The court imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order with lifelong conditions, an indefinite restraining order protecting the victim, and mandatory lifelong registration on the Sex Offenders Register.
