This afternoon will see a band of heavy, showery rain sweep across Portsmouth from the west, bringing with it a risk of thunder. The wet conditions are expected to turn more patchy before clearing eastward later in the day, allowing some late sunshine to develop across the area.
Temperatures will reach a maximum of 22°C during the day, whilst tonight will be largely clear and dry. However, the odd patch of cloud may drift in, particularly during the earlier part of the night, with minimum temperatures dropping to around 13°C.
Tomorrow will start dry with some bright spells, but conditions will turn unsettled during the afternoon. Scattered showers are forecast, which may be locally heavy and accompanied by thunder. Maximum temperatures will reach 22°C.
Early morning sunshine on Thursday will gradually give way to cloud and scattered showers moving in from the west, becoming heavy and thundery at times during the afternoon. A few sunny spells may also develop between the showers.
The remainder of the week looks set to remain generally unsettled with a mixture of sunshine and showers.

Saturday will see a drier start before widespread rain moves in from the south-west, becoming locally heavy at times. Conditions will turn windy as well, with temperatures around 20°C.
Sunday will be windy with plenty of sunshine throughout the day, though scattered, blustery and locally heavy showers will move in from the west. It will feel cooler with temperatures reaching 19°C.
