Hampshire County Council is celebrating achievements as thousands of students across the county prepare to receive their GCSE and Level 2 results this Thursday, while standing ready to support uncertain next steps.
The council is praising young people throughout Hampshire as they await their examination outcomes – whilst ensuring comprehensive support is available for those questioning their future direction.
Councillor Steve Forster, Cabinet Member for Education, commended the determination shown by Year 11 pupils:
“This represents a moment of pride for our young people, who have navigated the difficulties of Covid lockdowns right at the beginning of their secondary education in 2020. Whether they’re moving on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, or alternative training programmes, their commitment merits acknowledgement. We also offer sincere gratitude to families, educators, and tutors who have provided support throughout their journey.
“Regardless of whether results align with expectations, exceed them, or present unexpected outcomes, Hampshire County Council remains dedicated to assisting every pupil in discovering their forward path. We have established expert advice and extensive resources available, ensuring nobody must face this transition without support.”
