Four Portsmouth players will represent their nations during the November international break, with Terry Devlin, Minhyeok Yang, Makenzie Kirk and Brandon Downey all receiving call-ups for various squads.
Devlin Joins Northern Ireland Senior Squad
Following his impressive two-goal performance in Saturday’s loss at Hull, the 22-year-old utility player has been selected for Northern Ireland’s final World Cup qualifying fixtures.
Michael O’Neill’s team travel to Slovakia on Friday night before hosting Luxembourg at Windsor Park on Monday.
Whilst their Group A title aspirations ended last month, a play-off berth remains achievable through a second-place finish.
Additionally, Northern Ireland could secure play-off qualification via their Nations League campaign.
Devlin seeks to build on his three senior appearances, having first featured in March’s 1-1 stalemate with Switzerland.
Yang Earns South Korea Promotion
The Tottenham loanee has progressed from U22 representation last month to the senior South Korea setup, recognition for his strong start at Fratton Park.
With World Cup qualification already secured, the squad will use friendly matches to prepare for next summer’s tournament.
South Korea host Bolivia in Daejeon on Friday before facing Ghana in Seoul on Tuesday.
Yang has one previous senior cap, earned during March’s World Cup qualifier versus Jordan.

Portsmouth’s final transfer deadline acquisition features in Northern Ireland’s under-21 squad pursuing UEFA European U21 Championship 2027 qualification.
Tommy Wright’s side welcome Latvia to Belfast on Thursday before visiting Group F table-toppers Germany next Tuesday.
Currently sitting fourth in the group with four points from three matches, Northern Ireland continue their qualification campaign.
Downey Targets European U19 Qualification
The academy wide player joins Northern Ireland’s under-19 squad aiming to reach the 2026 UEFA European U19 Championship.
Gareth McAuley’s team face a three-match schedule in Malta, taking on the hosts alongside Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
A top-two finish in Group 13 guarantees progression to spring’s elite round qualification stage.
